When should you use a prong collar?

Prong collars are designed to support the training of dogs that exhibit misbehavior or pull strongly on the leash. However, you should not use the training collar during playing or in everyday life at home.

How do you use a herm sprenger prong collar?

We generally recommend that you work with an experienced dog trainer, especially at the beginning of training. The prong collar is only used to give small impulses in the case of misbehavior.
Therefore, in addition to the training collar, you should always wear another collar.
Important! Your dog should never permanently pull on the prong collar!

Not every dog needs a prong collar forever. Depending on misbehavior, it is of course possible that your dog, after successful training, can also be walked without or less often with the prong collar.

How does a prong collar work?

The spikes of a prong collar imitate fang teeth and therefore have a natural influence on the dog. They therefore offer communication that is incomplicated for the dog to understand.
