Product information
Description
The SPRENGER prong collar combines outstanding quality with innovative design for effective dog training. The rose-gold CUROGAN not only looks elegant but is also robust and minimizes the risk of coat discoloration on light-colored fur. The model with assembly chain offers a limited pull, while the center plate, as with all original SPRENGER prong collars, relieves pressure on the dog's sensitive larynx. All links are rounded for maximum comfort and eliminate any risk of injury. If needed, the center plate can be replaced by our ClicLock closure – this way the collar does not need to be opened at the links and can be put on quickly and easily.
The narrower links allow for more precise impact at a larger wire gauge and offer an alternative to the 2.25 mm training collar. This makes the collar particularly suitable for very active dogs for whom the 2.25 mm would not be strong enough, such as Malinois.
Please note that the use of the prong collar is recommended exclusively on a leash and during training. It is not suitable for off-leash activities, transport, or similar applications.
Trust in the proven quality of SPRENGER and choose the prong collar for effective and safe dog training.

The neck circumference you measured wouwould be too small, as the specified chain length corresponds to the outer circumference of the prong collar.

Choke collars or prong collars consist of individual, inward-facing links. These are rounded so as not to pose a risk of injury and are used to set impulses to correct unwanted behavior. Prong collars should always be used in combination with an experienced dog trainer! When used correctly, prong collars and training collars do not cause any pain! All SPRENGER training collars have a center plate with ouward-facing links to protect the dog´s sensitive larynx.

Assembly chains are short chains with round links that are integrated into the construction of dog collars or chain collars. They provide a limited pull stop and allow the collar to be worn loosely when there is no action. Martingale prong collars are also a good choice for fearful dogs, as they can prevent the dog from wiggling out of the collar.
