Description
The prong collar from SPRENGER combines outstanding quality with an innovative design for effective dog training. Made from high-quality stainless steel, it is the epitome of durability and safety. The model with pull-through chain offers a limited pull, while the center plate, as with all other SPRENGER prong collars, relieves the dog's sensitive larynx. In addition, all links of the chain are rounded to prevent any risk of injury. The swivel prevents the lead from becoming wedged as it rotates with every movement. If required, the center plate can be replaced with our ClicLock clasp to make attaching the chain quick and easy. As the chain is pulled over the dog's head, please take the head circumference into account when selecting the size!
The narrower links allow a more precise action with a greater wire thickness and offer an alternative to the 2.25 mm training collar. This makes the collar particularly suitable for very active dogs for which the 2.25 mm would not be strong enough, such as Malinois.
Please note that the prong collar is only recommended for use on a lead and during training. It is not suitable for free running, transportation or similar applications.

The neck circumference you measured wouwould be too small, as the specified chain length corresponds to the outer circumference of the prong collar.
Choke collars or prong collars consist of individual, inward-facing links. These are rounded so as not to pose a risk of injury and are used to set impulses to correct unwanted behavior. Prong collars should always be used in combination with an experienced dog trainer! When used correctly, prong collars and training collars do not cause any pain! All SPRENGER training collars have a center plate with ouward-facing links to protect the dog´s sensitive larynx.
ClickLock fasteners are becoming increasingly popular in the world of dog accessoires, especially for dog collars and necklaces. ClickLock fasteners are easy to open and close thanks to a simple push mechanism, but cannot open on their own thanks to the jacket, thus offering additional security for your four-legged friend. In short: comfort for the dog owner.
Pull-through chains are short chains with round links that are integrated into the design of dog collars or chain collars. They provide a limited pull stop and allow the collar to be worn loosely when thers is no action. Martingale prong collars are also a good choice for fearful dogs, as they can prevent the dog from wriggling out of the collar.
